Agua Tibia Surf School is an eco-sustainable surf camp and a workshop based in Nosara, Costa Rica. The camp is owned and operated by a bunch of locals who are seasoned surfers as well as professional instructors with plenty of experience. The surf school offers high quality surf sessions in Playa Guiones, which is considered as one of the best beaches for surfing in Costa Rica, and various other activities around the town.
Eco-sustainable, Fun and Professional
Besides providing their students with great wave riding lessons and amazing ‘secret’ tips, the camp’s aim is to ensure safety and fun. 
Agua Tibia Surf School has taught hundreds of people how to pick up the waves and ride them. From young kids to old people, from clumsy novices to rusty veterans – the school has changed the lives of many people. Furthermore, the school is eco-conscious and an often volunteer for beach clean ups and tree planting. Also, it holds fundraisers, barbecues and parties every now and then to help out the society.
With Agua Tibia Surf School you just can’t go wrong. The camp is situated steps away from the great surf destination, Playa Guiones, it has a shop that sells and rent out excellent quality surf boards and other gear in a very good price and upstairs, there is a bikini shop with a colorful variety of swim suits! All the instructors are awesome surfers and trained as lifeguards. The school runs with utmost professionalism, organization, coordination and performance, and yet maintains a merry and warm ambiance.
Surf Lessons
The surf instructors guide the students step by step with great patience and encouragement. The students are taught according to their surfing skills and knowledge. They teach you the basic steps such as ocean safety, paddling, standing up on the board, the surf conditions and how to read the waves. When you have mastered the basics, you can enter the ocean! The classes are usually divided into three types: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. The lessons are 90 minutes long and are held either privately or in a group. All equipment is provided during the lesson such as surf board, rash guard and so on.
The Team of Agua Tibia Surf School
The team of Agua Tibia Surf School consists of owners and professional surfers called Andrew Delgado Castro, Adrian Suarez Arce and Aminah Juni Cittadella Jacobsen. The rest of the team comprises of surf instructors, Cristian Santamaria, Rolando (Rolo) López and Danny (Pingui) Suarez.
