Outward Bound Costa Rica is an outdoor adventure school and a non profit educational organization located in San Jose, Costa Rica. It was first opened in Wales in 1941 and now it runs numerous branches all over the globe.The main purpose of this organization is to inspire people to try out different adventurous activities, to help in personal development and to let people experience different cultures. Outward Bound’s philosophy was ‘learning through experience’ right from the beginning and to this date the charter company is living up to it. Focusing on action and reflection principal, the school tried to education people. In Costa Rica, Outward Bound has combined several adventurous elements that will prove to be useful in your life. Some of the most popular and exciting activities are included such surfing, sport fishing, sailing, hiking, rafting, kayaking, wildlife tours, rappelling, snorkeling, scuba diving, tree climbing, volcano tours, waterfall adventurers, tropical cultural experience, learning about the local people, their way of living and traditions, Spanish language course and a lot more. Summer Adventures
Outward Bound has adventure based summer courses in Costa Rica and Panama. The school takes care of accommodations, transport 
services, breakfasts and meals and equipment needed during the trips. Some of them are:
Rainforest Exploration Challenge
Have a fabulous tropical venture for two weeks straight. The program involves trekking through the jungle for 8 days, a solo backpacking expedition, body boarding for 3 days, a whitewater rafting experience, canopy tours and zip lining through the rain forests.
Surf and Service Adventure
Go on a thrilling surfing adventure for 5 days! The trip is for everyone, be it a beginner, an intermediate surfer or a seasoned one. The school organizes guided surf trips to numerous surf spots. Besides surfing, guests are invited to do some social services in a community center for 4 to 5 days.
Witch’s Rock Surf Expedition
Hike and surf in the mysterious isle with Costa Rica Outward Bound for a week. The Witch’s Rock attracts plenty of surfers from all over the world. The charter offers a chance to surf some of the best waves in the world in comfort and ease.
Caribbean Watersport Adventure
It is a week long adventure that includes activities in Costa Rica and Panama (Bocas Del Toro). Guests are taken to sea kayaking tour for 2 to 3 days, waterboarding once or twice in the morning, an early morning sailing tour, community service for a day and boogie boarding.
