Iguana Surf Shop has been running the surf business in Tamarindo since 1998. Featuring a professional staff, superb customer service and best quality products, the shop has earned itself a great reputation in the town. Along with selling and renting surfboards and surf gear, the staff organizes expeditions to the popular surf points throughout the Tamarindo Bay. They usually arrange over 30 tours a day. Iguana has a wide selection of sports equipment including more than 125 surfboards, boogie boards, kayaking gear and bikes for rent. Moreover, if you are in need of some colorful beach clothes, sunblocks, glasses, umbrellas and slippers, you will not be disappointed. The shop is open all week long from 8 AM to 6 PM. The shop has another branch in Langosta as well.

Surf Lessons at Iguana Surf Shop and Tours

Iguana Surf Shop and Tours has bee conducting surf classes in Tamarindo for more than 2 decades. They have 6 professional surf instructors who are extremely efficient and experienced. The shop offers private and group lessons. The group lessons include 4 students per instructor. Four 2 hours lessons are held daily at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. During the classes, students are provided with a rash guard, locker and soft-top surfboard. Beginners will be first taught about ocean safety and surf etiquette on the beach before entering the water. Iguana Surf Shop and Tours guarantees that you will be riding the waves perfectly after all the lessons.

Condo Rentals

For convenience and comfort, Iguana Surf Shop and Tours arrange accommodations for their guests. There are three beautiful condos available for rent. Casa Gecko is located nearby the beach with a scenic and verdurous backdrop. Providing utmost seclusion and tranquility, the house makes a perfect choice for a relaxing and adventurous holiday. It has a fully functional kitche, a living area, master bedroom appointed with a king size bed, master bathroom, outdoor rancho, BBQ area and a swimming pool. Amenities include air conditioners, hot water, flat screen TV, DVD, CD player, laundry service and maid service. The charming house is superb for couples and solo travelers. Casa Iguana is just as beautiful and a bit larger than Gecko. The house is fully furnished with all the facilities. It has a second bedroom making it a good choice for families.

For honeymooners, Iguana Surf Shop and Tours has a special Condo & Tour Combo Package. It includes a 7 nights stay in a condo, two massages per person, airport pick up and drop off, fully stocked fridge, boogie board or surfboard rentals and any of the five tours from Sunset Sailing, Surf Lessons, Snorkeling Tour, Kayak Estuary Tour, Canopy Tour, Horseback Riding and ATV Tour.
