La Nicaragua Surf Spot (Pavones)

A bit to the south of Pavones is an almost ridiculously beautiful set of beaches known as La Nicaragua, since the river of the same name is here.
Catching more and bigger swells than Pavones, it’s a great spot to go when the area’s top wave is crowded or too small. Of course, it’s not one of the longest lefts in the world, but because everyone else will be crowding Pavones, you can find a wave to yourself here, and the beaches here are actually more beautiful and scenic.

Where to Stay
A great option is La Pavones, located here at La Nicaragua. Located just on the other side of the road from the beach, La Ponderosa is close enough to walk to Pavones too.
