Popo’s Expeditions presents a wonderful opportunity to surf enthusiasts by organizing surf trips to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The camp offers classes for beginners, intermediates and advanced surfers. Both private and group lessons are held. The course is a part of a package which includes surfing, paddling, and accommodations at Popo’s Treehouse, other activities, free T-shirts, and transportation.

Beginner’s Surf Lessons

The classes are for brand new surfers who may not even know how to swim! The camp teaches the students to swim and surf gradually with utmost patience. Instructions are carried out on Playa Carrillo, a great beach for newbies, by professional surf guides.

Intermediate Surf Lessons

The course is great for those know how to surf. If you are able to stand up on a board, paddle comfortably, and know all the other basics, then the course is just right. Surf classes begin at Playa Carrillo and later to a bit more breaks such as Camaronal at the Camaronal National Wildlife Refuge.

Advanced Surf Lessons

It is actually surf expedition to various surf points in Costa Rica and Nicaragua for surfers who know how to ride the waves, but need a guide to know about the spots.

Popo’s Treehouse Lodging

Popo’s Expedition features a charming option for accommodation. There is a large treehouse surrounded by luscious greenery and tropical birds within a gated compound. The treehouse features two private cabins on a hillside and a large house with 5 spacious bedrooms, two single rooms, porches, and three bathrooms including several amenities. The cabins and house are appointed with private bar, refrigerator, small kitchenette, and hot water supply, hammocks, reading lamps, chairs and tables. The cabins have outdoorsy touch to them and travelers can always enjoy the vibrant tropical buzz around them. While living there, you will sleep to the sound of mysterious insects and waves, and wake up to the superb sunrise.
