With Iguana Expeditions and Surf School, learn to surf on one of the greatest surf points of the country, Playa Guiones. The 
shimmering, white sand beach is a superb platform for beginners and veterans alike. Don’t worry, you will surf the waves of many other spots as well. From north to south – students will visit the whole string of beaches including Playa Grande, Tamarindo, Langosta, Avellanas, Negra, Junquillal, Lagarto, Azul, San Juanillo, Ostional, Nosara, Pelada, Guiones, Garza, Barrigona, Buena Vista, Samara and Carrillo. During the lessons, students will be provided with long or short boards and other accessories such as wax and a leash. If you have your own surf board then you can save some bucks! The classes are taught by professional instructor who are Red Cross Lifeguard certified with years of experience. Students are usually taught in small groups but if you wish you can have a 1 hour long private session.
For advanced surfers, the school arranges a bilingual surf guide with a 2003 Mazda 4 passenger pickup (featuring A/C, tape-recorder, radio) to let them travel to different surf spots easily. Moreover, there is an option for offshore surfing accessible through a boat.
